Prestoncraft RIBS

Our range of RIBs are available from 6.1 - 10m in all configurations. These RIBs are designed for military, law enforcement, commercial and pleasure use. Our technology, experience and knowledge allows us to build a boat specifically designed to suit your requirements.

The hull of the RIB is built super tough. The hull has a tube carrier built into the structure, creating a housing for the tube/collar. This creates an incredibly strong structure and allows the boat to perform even with the tube/collar removed! The design allows for the inside half of the tube/collar to be protected, whilst the outer half is exposed. These boats offer excellent performance in all conditions.

We offer three types of tubes/collars for our RIBs. We do not recommend the use of materials that cannot be heat welded. Materials like hypalon cannot be heat welded, therefore the seams/baffles have to be glued together which in time causes problems.

• PVC
  This is the most cost effective material. We use the best commercial grade  PVC available, which is made in Germany. The benefit's of PVC is that it can be heat welded, ensuring the seams/baffles are immensely strong. This commercial grade PVC is wear resistant, waterproof, immuned to the hazards of sunlight/ozone fuel/oil/acids and contaminants.
  
• Polyurethane blend cloth
  The polyurethane blend cloth is a superior product to the PVC but is more expensive. This material is also heat welded to ensure seams/baffles are immensely strong, wear resistant, waterproof, immune to the hazards of sunlight/ozone fuel/oil/acids and contaminants.
  
• High density foam collar
  The high density foam collar has been designed for serious rough/tough requirements. This type of collar is around 50% more expensive than the polyurethane tube. This collar is not inflated and allows for more interior room due to it's "D" shape. The collar has a polyurethane coating.
